Abersoch Beaches

Abersoch has two main beaches, both with good sand. Firstly is the main beach, this is accessed from the South of Benar Headland or by a council managed slipway adjacent to the Abersoch Golf Club. Both entrances have beach cafes and car parks, Footprints Cafe being on the main slipway. Most people launch their watercraft from this slipway and Gwynedd Council are happy to relieve you of some money for using it. This beach is where you will find all the beach huts, famous for the high prices they fetch at auctions. In the Summer months dogs are banned from the North side ( left as you look out to sea ).

The second beach is from the harbour going North towards the Warren holiday park and Llanbedrog Headland. This is a long stretch of sand some three and three quarter miles long. The harbour area is where the boat parks and the RNLI launch their vessels and the river Soch ( Afon Soch ) enters the sea. The small harbour wall is very popular with children who love crab fishing.

Both of the Abersoch beaches are very safe and clean and it is this that makes the village very popular with families and water sport enthusiasts.
