“We enjoyed our stay thoroughly despite some very wet weather.”

The House was clean, well equipped and comfortable. We were particularly pleased with the enclosed patio and garden which were very safe for our dog. The location of the house is very convenient for the beach , shops , cafes etc and despite being near the centre of the village it was surprisingly quiet. We have already booked a return visit next year.

The property

Ty Ffynnon, a splendid detached property, is located in the heart of Abersoch.

This charming home-from-home is ideal for a big group or family of ten, boasting a rustic character with original features of exposed beams and an inglenook fireplace, while being within easy distance of Abersoch's beaches.

After parking in one of the three open places outside, proceed inside to find a roomy sitting area with plenty of seating surrounding a toasty woodburning stove and TV, where you may watch your favourite DVD or settle in with one of the books offered.

The kitchen/diner features an array of wonderful appliances for the group's aspiring chef to cook up a storm, including a Belfast sink, dishwasher, and an outstanding AGA burner snuggled within the fireplace.

Dinner can be enjoyed at a neighbouring table or in the sunny conservatory, where you can dine while looking out over the garden; the conservatory also has window seats, where you can socialise with your party after dinner, with a glass of wine in hand.

When night falls, one of the four bedrooms on the ground floor, this one a double room with cream décor, an en-suite shower room, and Miele laundry facilities, may be found.

Continue upstairs to find three more well-presented bedrooms, the first a king-size with attractive accents, a sofa, and an en-suite bathroom, the second a king-size with access to a private balcony, and a family room with flower décor and a king-size, bunk bed, and an en-suite shower room.

The bathroom completes the first floor, where you may rest your muscles in the bubbles before wrapping yourself in a warm towel from the heated rail.

The garden is the ultimate entertainment spot, where you can enjoy a homemade pizza night with the Jamie Oliver wood-fired oven at the outdoor dining area; the patio extends out to a huge lawn where you can rest on the seats while your canine pals stretch their legs.

The property's location on the village's main street is a highlight, with a plethora of bars, restaurants, and stores at your fingertips, as well as sufficient sailing and surfing options along the village's shores.

Travel a short distance west to Llanengan, where you may trek through the Hillfort, where the remains of the Llanengan Lead Mines can be found, savour a pint at The Sun Inn, and venture down to Hells Mouth Beach or the Llyn Coastal Path for a charming trip.

Continue along the coast to Aberdaron, pausing at the National Trust properties of Plas yn Rhiw and Porth Ysgo along the route; once there, spend time on the beach and eat a delicious lunch at The Ship Hotel.

There is so much more to discover in the surrounding area, from Llanbedrog and Pwllheli to the Cilan and Mynydd Mawr headlands.

Choose Ty Ffynnon for a fun-filled break in this beautiful corner of Wales.

About the location

ABERSOCH

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.

Note: The property is on Abersoch High Street.
Note: The garage is not for guests use.
Note: This property does not provide Towels.
